India looks to strengthen ties with US with greater vigour: Finance Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman

According to Minister of Finance Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, bilateral relations between India and the US would be strengthened with more vigour.

At the beginning of the 9th Indo-US Financial Partnership, Ms. Sitharaman and US Treasury Secretary Ms. Jannet Yellen jointly addressed the media and stated that bilateral discussions will give the long-standing partnership with the US a boost.

India is prepared to take over the G20 presidency as the 9th meeting of the Forum is taking place.

The Ministry of External Affairs announced on November 10, 2022 that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will travel to the Indonesian city of Bali from November 14-16 2022 in order to attend the G-20 conference.

The conflict in Ukraine, its effects on food and energy security, and other critical global issues like climate change are all anticipated to be discussed at the summit.
