India is set to make a significant global technology statement at Viva Technology (VivaTech) 2026 in Paris, where it has been designated as the Official AI Country Partner. The recognition underscores India’s emergence as a leading force in artificial intelligence (AI), digital innovation and technology-led development. Led by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), India’s participation will showcase the country’s achievements in AI, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and large-scale innovation. Through the largest national pavilion at the event, India will bring together government representatives, startups, investors and industry leaders to promote global partnerships, attract investments and strengthen international collaboration. The country’s presence will be presented under the theme “Tech for Humanity,” reflecting its vision of using technology to drive inclusion, empower citizens and deliver solutions at scale while remaining rooted in human values.
Scheduled from June 17-20, 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, VivaTech is Europe’s largest startup and technology event, attracting participants from more than 170 countries. India’s showcase will feature leading unicorns, high-growth startups and technology enterprises operating across sectors such as AI, Aerospace, DefenceTech, SpaceTech, HealthTech, DeepTech, SaaS, ClimateTech, Mobility, Robotics and Cybersecurity. Participation from key government bodies, including the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Ministry of Education, will demonstrate India’s whole-of-government approach to innovation and digital transformation. The initiative also aligns with the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 and is expected to deepen bilateral cooperation in entrepreneurship, research and advanced technologies.
