India Pharma 2026 Commences in New Delhi, Showcasing India’s Innovation-Led Pharma Growth

The 9th edition of India Pharma 2026 is being held at Federation House in New Delhi from April 13 to April 14, 2026. The event will be organized by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, which operates under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA). The conference, which has the title "Discover in India: Leapfrogging Life-Sciences Innovation," seeks to assist India in developing from its status as a volume-based pharmaceutical industry into a worldwide leader that depends on value and innovative solutions. The event will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda, and by Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Ms. Anupriya Patel. The government directs its policy efforts to advance innovation and research and development, and build sustainable global supply chains.

The two-day platform will unite policymakers, pharmaceutical leaders from around the world, regulatory officials, researchers and investors to discuss drug discovery, complex generics, biosimilars, AI-driven innovation, CRDMO potential and pharma financing ecosystems. The conference holds strategic importance for India because industry leaders from Sun Pharma, Zydus Lifesciences, Cipla, Abbott India, and Eli Lilly will participate in the event. The event demonstrates the country's determination to achieve Atma Nirbharta in pharmaceutical and medtech fields through enhanced collaboration between industry and academia, through funding for innovation, and through policy discussions that support Viksit Bharat 2047.
