India and Poland reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across political engagement, trade and investment, technology, defence, culture and counter-terrorism during high-level talks held in New Delhi. The discussions were led by Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Sibi George, and Poland's Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Wladyslaw T. Bartoszewski, along with Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Mr. Michal Baranowski. Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Ms. Pooja Kapur, and senior officials from both countries also participated in the meeting. The discussions reflected the growing depth of the India-Poland Strategic Partnership and reaffirmed both countries' commitment to expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, advanced technologies, defence, culture and global counter-terrorism. The engagement builds on the strong momentum in bilateral relations and underscores the shared objective of enhancing economic and strategic collaboration.

The meeting follows a series of high-level engagements aimed at broadening cooperation in emerging sectors. During a visit to Warsaw in March 2026, Ms. Pooja Kapur held discussions with Polish counterparts on expanding collaboration in electric vehicles, mining, shipping and opportunities under the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both countries also explored strengthening partnerships in defence, technology, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges. The visit included interactions with the Poland-India Parliamentary Group, the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce, Poland's National Chamber of Commerce, former Ambassador Dr. Adam Burakowski and industry representatives, including Wipro Poland, to identify new avenues for business and investment. The continued engagement is expected to strengthen bilateral trade, promote technology partnerships and reinforce the India-Poland Strategic Partnership while supporting greater economic cooperation between India and the European region.
