India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 196.18 Cr

According to preliminary reports, India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed 196.18 crore (1,961,866,707) as of 7 AM on June 20. This was accomplished with a total of 25,318,438 sessions.

COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 12-14 years old began on March 16, 2022. More than 3.57 crore (35,740,210) teenagers have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination so far. Similarly, the COVID-19 precautionary dosage administration for people aged 18-59 years old began on April 10, 2022.

The number of active cases in India is presently 76,700. Active cases now account for 0.18% of all positive cases in the country. As a result, India's recovery rate is 98.61%. In the previous 24 hours, 8,537 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 42,707,900 since the outbreak began.

In the previous 24 hours, 12,781 new cases have been reported. A total of 296,050 COVID-19 tests were performed in the last 24 hours. India has completed 85.81 Crore (858,137,713) cumulative tests thus far.

The country's Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.62%, and the Daily Positivity Rate is at 4.37%.
