India's economic progress is example for world, we are fastest growing among major economies: PM Modi in Lok Sabha

Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi proudly declared that India was the fastest-growing economy among all major economies in the world, during an address in the Lok Sabha.
He said the India’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic was an example that the entire world noticed. 80 million people were provided with free ration, while India produced record exports in 2021 in four different sectors – agriculture, defence, software, and mobile phones. India also recorded its highest ever FDI inflow in 2021.
The PM GatiShakti Plan will provide economic transformation, seamless multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency. The Rs. 3 lakh crore (US$ 40.19 billion) scheme to protect MSMEs has also provided much needed support. The Svanidhi Yojana is helping street vendors get loans and allowing them to engage in digital transactions. The space, defence, drone and mining sectors are open to the private sector, to promote investments.
