India’s internet subscriber base reached around 110 crores in March 2026, reflecting the country’s rapid digital transformation across governance, commerce, communication and public services. Average monthly wireless data consumption rose to 25.51 gigabytes (GB) per subscriber. Total wireless data usage stood at 285,376 petabytes in FY26, highlighting the growing adoption of digital services. This need is increasingly being met through cloud computing, which provides on-demand access to data storage, servers, software and processing capabilities over the internet.
