India's port sector is growing rapidly and contributing to the economic progress: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi praised the achievements of Tuticorin’s V.O. Chidambaranar Port as it witnessed year-over-year growth of 11.35%. About 36.03 million tonnes (MT) of cargo has been handled by the port (as of March 14, 2023) and surpassing the target of 36 MT which was set by the Shipping Ministry.

He replied to a tweet by the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, he lauded India’s port sector as it is growing rapidly and is contributing to economic progress.
