Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, speaking at the 'Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue,' emphasised that India's youth will be pivotal in transforming the country into a developed nation economically, socially, and culturally. He noted that while some might consider this goal difficult, it is achievable through the capabilities and strength of India’s young population. He stressed that the spirit of 'Viksit Bharat' should guide the nation’s policies and decisions and urged the youth to take ownership of this vision. He highlighted India’s ambitious goals, such as meeting the 20% ethanol blending target ahead of schedule and the active participation of every citizen in driving the country's growth.
He drew inspiration from global examples, such as the economic rise of the United States post-crisis and Singapore’s transformation, to underline the importance of setting big goals and working towards them. He referred to India’s recent achievements, including becoming open defecation-free and producing and distributing Covid vaccines. As the nation enters its 'Amrit Kaal' leading to 2047, he expressed unwavering confidence in the youth's ability to fulfil the dream of a developed India. He also highlighted the rapid growth of India's economy, including a sixfold increase in infrastructure funding over the last decade. He predicted that India would become the third-largest economy globally within the next decade.
