India signs deals to export 7.2 million tonnes of sugar in marketing year 2021/22

The Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) said that Indian mills have signed contracts to export 7.2 million tonnes of sugar without government subsidies in the 2021/22 marketing year.
Since the start of the marketing year on October 1, mills have exported around 5.7 million tonnes of sugar. Sugar mills have produced 31 million tonnes of sugar so far this year, up from 27.87 million tonnes last year.
