India and Singapore can emerge as global leaders in fair, transparent, and efficient dispute resolution, Minister of State for Law and Justice Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal said at an Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) symposium in Singapore. Highlighting reforms in India’s arbitration laws and the establishment of the India International Arbitration Centre, Meghwal noted these steps are creating a faster, more trustworthy dispute resolution system that strengthens contract enforcement and boosts investor confidence.
The symposium, themed ‘Bridging Markets, Resolving Disputes via ADR in the India-Singapore Corridor’, brought together around 150 delegates to explore legal and economic cooperation. The ICA emphasized that collaboration in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) will not only benefit both countries but also enhance Asia’s influence in the global legal landscape.
