Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi visited his home constituency, Varanasi, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Interacting with the winners of the 'Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita' at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), he declared Kashi a global model of development and heritage. He invoked Lord Shiva's blessings, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Kashi, and expressed his vision for the next five years, promising a transformative model of development.
Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi announced plans for the beautification of Kashi, envisioning not only physical infrastructure development but also a transformation in the hearts and minds of its people. Acknowledging the empowerment of the young generation, he engaged with students at BHU and unveiled projects worth US$ 7.3 billion (Rs. 60,500 crore) for Navsari and Mehsana. Additionally, he is set to launch 23 schemes worth US$ 1.3 billion (Rs. 10,972 crore) and lay the foundation stone for 12 schemes worth US$ 264.8 billion (Rs. 2,195.07 crore), reflecting his commitment to the comprehensive development of Kashi and India.
