The UK and India signed a new defence cooperation pact and planned to finalise a free trade agreement by the end of the year. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi stated that the UK is invited to participate in India's National Hydrogen Mission.

According to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mr. Boris Johnson, the UK is introducing an India-specific open general export licence, which will reduce paperwork and delivery timelines for defence acquisition.

Discussions on the defence sector, trade, climate change, and energy were held. There are also discussions on a free, open, and rule-based Indo-Pacific region.
