India will help direct G20 through next decade: President Ms. Droupadi Murmu

The G20 would be guided by discussions on global concerns that will take place under India's leadership throughout the course of the ensuing ten years, India is also going to host the G-20 group under its chairmanship. In this grouping, twenty big countries of the world will brainstorm on global issues under the chairmanship of India, said President Ms. Droupadi Murmu.

According to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Mr. Arindam Bagchi, India will host a significant number of G20 activities at various levels across the nation.

India has been a G20 member since the group's founding in 1999. India will take over the G20 Presidency on December 1, 2022, and host the first G20 Leaders' Summit in 2023.
