Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Mr. Shaktikanta Das said, the Indian banking system has remained resilient and has not been adversely impacted by recent events in the global financial ecosystem. He was speaking at a global conference on financial resilience organised by RBI.

Even under the most distressing circumstances, Indian banks will be able to keep their capital buffers above the minimum standards, according to Mr. Shaktikanta Das, who also cited the results of the RBI's stress testing.

He advised the stakeholders to remain vigilant, saying that financial sector surprises can come from anywhere at a time when participants all over the world are adopting unconventional policies.

According to him, the RBI is dedicated to making the Indian financial system future-proof and to supporting its sustainable growth.
