According to Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, Mr. Piyush Goyal, Indians in the US are true ambassadors of the 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' - the world is one family ideology. During a speech in San Francisco, Mr. Goyal praised the Indian community for their tremendous value creation in the US and for giving back to India through partnerships, better technologies, and newer ideas.
Speaking about the 'India-US startup SETU' (supporting entrepreneurs for transformation and upskilling), which Mr. Goyal launched in San Francisco, he said it will act as a bridge between Indian and American companies, assisting entrepreneurs in transforming, upskilling, and capitalising on the success stories of the Indian diaspora in the US. He stated that under Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's leadership, the country is making every attempt to become Atmanirbhar. He also stated that India's priority was on improving commercial arrangements with the developed world, aligning with the fact that there was a lot of interest globally to engage with India.
