Indian tech startups raise a record $74 bn from PE/VC firms in 2021: Report

Indian IT startups received a record amount of funding from private equity and venture capital firms in 2021. According to the India Investments Pulse report by Praxis Worldwide Alliance, investors put US$ 74 billion across 1,123 deals in the previous calendar year.
Investors preferred the E-commerce, consumer platforms, and IT services sectors in 2021, accounting for 56% of total deal value. In 2021, 41 firms were added to the unicorn club, a 3x increase over prior years.
