India's industrial corridors, including Amritsar-Kolkata, Chennai-Bengaluru, East Coast Economic Corridor, and Bengaluru-Mumbai, have played a transformative role in positioning the country as a global manufacturing hub. Celebrating its eighth anniversary, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) highlighted how these corridors have revolutionized the industrial landscape by integrating world-class infrastructure such as high-speed rail networks, modern ports, logistics hubs, and advanced airports to support rapid industrialization. Building on the success of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), these corridors exemplify India's commitment to fostering connected and self-sustaining industrial ecosystems.

The Cabinet's recent approval of 12 new project nodes under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP) with an investment of US$ 3.39 billion (Rs. 28,602 crore) marks another significant milestone. These industrial smart cities are set to further strengthen India's innovation, self-reliance, and sustainable economic development, driving progress for local communities while elevating India's global economic stature. With strategic infrastructure and industrial advancements, these corridors are key to shaping the future of India's industrial and economic growth.
