Khadi and Village Industries sales grew by 332% in the last nine years

Since Mr. Narendra Modi’s administration took office in 2014, the turnover of Khadi and Village Industries has grown by more than three times. The Prime Minister has constantly been promoting the use of Khadi and Village products.

The total sales of Khadi rose by nearly 450% from US$ 131.5 million (Rs. 1,081.04 crore) in 2013-14 to US$ 792.7 million (Rs. 5,942.93 crore) in 2022-23, as per the most recent data. In 2013-14, Village Industries generated a total revenue of US$ 3.65 billion (Rs. 30,073.16 crore), while in 2022-23, it increased by 327.91%, to reach US$ 15.64 billion (Rs. 1,28,686.98 crore).

In 2013-14, the total sales of Khadi and Village Industries (KVI) was US$ 3.78 billion (Rs. 31,154.20 crore), which has now grown to US$ 16.37 billion (Rs. 1,34,629.91 crore), registering an overall growth of 332.14%.
