Larsen & Toubro's construction arm bags major order in Bangladesh

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm has secured an order to construct hi-tech IT parks at eight locations across Bangladesh. This project is being sponsored by the Indian EXIM Bank, and it is L&T's first order in Bangladesh for IT and office space construction.
The bulk of work in the project involves the purchase and construction of seven-story structural steel structures in each of the eight locations. The contract also includes elevators, electrical work, firefighting systems, and public health engineering.
The company would not disclose the contract's value, but claimed it fits under the important category, which includes orders between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 2,500 crore (US$ 133.66 million – US$ 334.17 million), according to contract classification.
