The Kerala Minister, Mr. P Rajeeve proposes to introduce the “Made in Kerala” brand to certify quality of state made products, assisting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the global markets. An e-commerce platform is being developed to authenticate the calibre of goods produced in the state and enable them in finding markets, uplifting the enterprises in national and international space. Also, to support and advertise goods, a geo-marketing platform would be established that would assign the Geographical Indication (GI) tag.

Kerala Minister said, "If it is a food article, it would be represented as "Made-in Kerala, safe-to-eat and certified by the Government of Kerala, under the proposed brand”. The objective is to develop an Open Network Platform, with the support of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), to launch one lakh MSMEs across state in 2022, which is being observed as the “Entrepreneurship Year”.
