MahaRERA approved registrations of 4,332 real estate projects in FY24.

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) approved 4,332 new realty projects out of 5,471 applications received in the 2023-24. Pune led with 1,172 approved projects, followed by Thane with 597, Mumbai Suburban with 528, Raigad with 450, Nagpur with 336 and Nashik with 310 projects approved.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) accounted for the highest number of new projects region-wise, at 1,976 projects, while Western Maharashtra and Vidarbha secured significant approvals. MahaRERA ensures project completion and addresses homebuyer concerns by scrutinizing legal, financial, and technical projects. Despite initial efficiency, delays and proposal errors resulted in 4,332 projects receiving registration, with 1,139 projects pending scrutiny for rectification.
