Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) ranks in top 1% of Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global's corporate sustainability assessment

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has secured a spot in the top 1% of the Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global 2025 Sustainability Yearbook, making it the only automobile manufacturer worldwide to achieve this distinction. The company ranked highly in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global, evaluating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance across 7,690 companies globally. This achievement follows M&M’s leadership ranking in the 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the automotive sector, with an S&P Global CSA score of 82 out of 100, marking a 12-point improvement from the previous year. 

M&M received a 100 percentile score in business ethics, risk and crisis management, transparency, and reporting. It also excelled in environmental stewardship, earning top scores in waste and pollutant management, environmental policy, and management practices. The company demonstrated strong social responsibility, with high ratings in customer relations, human rights, and human capital management. Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M, stated that this recognition reaffirms M&M’s commitment to sustainable business practices and long-term industry leadership.
