In fiscal 2024, Apple Inc. produced iPhones worth US$ 14 billion in India, constituting approximately 14% of its flagship devices. The majority of these iPhones were assembled by Foxconn (67%) and Pegatron Corp (17%), while the remainder was manufactured at Wistron Corp's plant in Karnataka, now under the Tata Group's ownership.

Amidst geopolitical tensions between China and the U.S., Apple is diversifying its supply chain, with India emerging as a significant manufacturing hub. Pegatron is reportedly in talks to transfer control of its iPhone manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu to the Tata Group, indicating further expansion of Apple's production in India.
