Maruti on course to become India's highest car exporter in FY22

Maruti Suzuki, the automobile major is on track to become the largest car exporter in 2022. The company exported 205,450 units in 2021. Maruti Suzuki India's Senior Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Mr. Shashank Srivastava said that in the current financial year Maruti Suzuki is expected to export 220,000 units.
He also added that the significant increase in capex in the union budget of FY23 will help boost the local demand. He believes that the reopening of contact-intensive businesses like education would enhance demand, and that the pandemic-accelerated transition to personal mobility will continue for some time.
