MG Motor India has entered into partnership with eChargeBays, a Delhi-based start-up, for setting up charging infrastructure for the electric vehicles (EVs).

This comes ahead of the launch of the company's electric SUV, MG ZS EV, which is scheduled to be launched in December 2019.

Under the partnership, MG plans to identify way in which the buyer of the electric SUV can install the EV charger at home. The company plans to send experts to look into the matter.

MG Motor India President & Managing Director Mr. Rajeev Chaba said, "Our latest association is aimed at supporting the government's EV vision by providing a viable residential EV charging infrastructure."

The collaboration also highlights the company's commitment towards its EV customers by going an extra mile to provide them a convenient ownership experience.
MG and eChargeBays' partnership is the latest in series of alliances with EV charging players that is focused on developing the robust charging infrastructure in the country.

The previous partnership of the MG includes with Fortum and Delta Electronics India for the fast charging and slow charging segments, respectively.

Mr. Rajesh Singh, Founder & CEO, eChargeBays, said that the most potential EV buyers are uncertain because of the limited charging infrastructure available.

He further added, "We aim to provide Indian car owners with a robust and safe one-stop solution for their home charging-related needs using our home Charge solution."

Singh also said that eChargeBays plans to launch a service solution in the charging infra space which aims at providing a seamless EV charging experience to EV customers.

The MG ZS EV is a global product, which has already received 2,000 orders since its UK launch.
