Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella joins Groww as investor, advisorIndian economy to grow 9.2% in FY22, fastest in world: Govt data

Groww, a Tiger Global backed startup, announced that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has joined them as an investor and an advisor. Groww’s co-founder and CEO Lalit Keshre tweeted that he is thrilled to have Mr. Nadella in their company and their mission. The financial details were not disclosed. In a funding round raised by Iconiq Growth in October 2021, Groww raised US$ 251 million with a valuation of US$ 1 billion, propelling it to the unicorn status. New investors such as Alkeon, Lone Pine Capital and Steadfast as well as Groww’s existing investors such as Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, YC Continuity, Tiger Global and Propel Venture participated in the funding.
In April 2021, Groww raised US$ 83 million in another funding round, which was led by Tiger Global. The Company enables users to invest in financial securities such as stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, IPOs, and so on. Groww commenced its operations in 2017 and claims to have more than 15 million registered users on its platform.
