The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a new integrated website for the Department of Commerce (DoC), aimed at improving service delivery for exporters, importers and trade stakeholders through seamless digital access to trade-related resources. The platform is fully compliant with the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) 3.0 and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), reinforcing the government’s focus on secure, accessible and standards-led digital governance. A bilingual mobile application for Android and iOS, equipped with offline access and GPS-enabled features, has also been introduced to strengthen ease of access and real-time stakeholder support.
The new digital ecosystem is strategically significant for India’s foreign trade architecture, as it integrates real-time trade intelligence, parliamentary updates, grievance redressal and multilingual support across 22 Indian languages through the Bhashini API. Direct connectivity with the Trade Intelligence & Analytics (TIA) Portal, Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), and Parliament systems will improve transparency, reduce manual interventions and enhance decision support for exporters and policymakers. This initiative is expected to strengthen e-governance, trade facilitation and ease of doing business, while improving digital accessibility for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), regional exporters and global trade partners engaging with India’s commerce ecosystem.
