Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to facilitate participation of MSMEs in international exhibitions and workshops in India

The Government of India is actively supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to grow both in India and globally. Through the “International Cooperation Scheme,” MSMEs get financial help to participate in international exhibitions, fairs, and buyer-seller meets, and to organize conferences, seminars, and workshops in India. First-time micro and small exporters also receive support for registration, export insurance, and quality certifications, making it easier for them to enter international markets. Between 2020-21 and 2024-25, 1,361 MSMEs benefited from this scheme. These initiatives help businesses stay up to date with new technologies, changing market demand, and emerging opportunities, empowering them to grow stronger and more competitive.

In addition, the Government has launched the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) with a total budget of Rs. 25,060 crore (US$ 2.78 billion) for 2025–26 to 2030–31. This digitally driven framework strengthens India’s export ecosystem by providing both financial and non-financial support. Financial assistance for trade finance is offered through NIRYAT PROTSAHAN. At the same time, NIRYAT DISHA guides export-quality compliance, branding, trade fairs, warehousing, logistics, and skill development. The Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) also helps MSMEs improve productivity and efficiency by supporting industrial clusters, Common Facility Centres, and infrastructure projects. Over the last five years, 190 projects have been approved. MSMEs are making a substantial contribution to India’s exports, with their share rising from 45.74% in 2023-24 to 48.55% in 2024-25, showing their growing importance in the economy.
