Indian billionaire Mr. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, surpassed Mr. Jeff Bezos of Amazon to become the world's second richest person. According to Forbes' real-time data, he is currently just behind Tesla’s CEO Mr. Elon Musk, who is still the richest person in the world with a net worth of US$ 273.5 billion.
A significant increase in the value of the Adani Group stocks propelled Mr. Adani's wealth, making him the second richest person in the world. Mr. Adani's net worth stood at US$ 155.7 billion as of September 16, 2022.
Mr. Gautam Adani has announced plans to invest up to US$ 70 billion in renewable energy projects in his quest to become the largest generator of green energy in the world.
