As the country strives to become a developed country by 2047, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, Mr. Piyush Goyal, urged companies to make sure their goods match international quality standards and contribute to the creation of a "Brand India".

He advocated for the merger of several quality certification-related organisations, including the FSSAI, the BIS, the Rail or Defense organisations, while speaking at an event hosted by the Quality Council of India (QCI).

The minister emphasised the need for more women to enter the field of chartered accounting while speaking at an earlier event hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He expressed his happiness with the ICAI's 77 centres and more than 168 branches, which are spread across 47 different nations. He praised ICAI for its efforts to develop 100 centres throughout the globe and requested that it also increase its footprint in South America.
