Mr. Jitin Prasada Inaugurates STQC Lab Automation Portal ‘SATYA’

Today, the Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics and Information Technology, Mr. Jitin Prasada, launched the Standardisation Testing & Quality Certification (STQC) Lab Automation Portal (SATYA). The initiative is part of a new digital initiative being implemented by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to enhance the way in which electronic/as well as IT products are tested for compliance with established industry standards in India to provide consumers with confidence in their purchases. The Portal will have all testing and certification services integrated onto one single automated digital platform, thereby providing value to not only citizens, but also the ‘Digital India’ vision of the Government of India, and improve the overall ‘Ease of Doing Business’ within India.
Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics and Information Technology, Mr. Jitin Prasada, officially inaugurated the SATYA (Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification Lab Automation) portal. This digital platform is designed to ensure that quality assurance remains robust while becoming significantly more accessible to industry stakeholders. Mr. S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), noted that the portal represents a significant step in modernising STQC's service delivery through end-to-end digital processes. The technical development of the platform was spearheaded by C-DAC, the primary technical partner for the project. By digitising the entire certification lifecycle, the portal enhances transparency and fosters digital trust in public service delivery. This initiative is expected to strengthen India's position as a reliable global hub for electronic manufacturing and IT services by reducing manual interventions and streamlining compliance. The automation of lab processes through SATYA aligns with the national vision of Digital India, ensuring that start-ups and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can obtain quality certifications with greater speed and efficiency.
