Mr. Nitin Gadkari announces projects worth Rs. 7,000 crore (US$ 849.69 million) for Uttar Pradesh

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari announced projects worth Rs. 7,000 crore (US$ 849.69 million) for Uttar Pradesh and stated that the state's road infrastructure will be on par with that of the United States by 2024. According to an official release, He stated after the start of the 81st session of the Indian Road Congress (IRC) that a total of Rs. 5 lakh crore (US$ 60.69 billion) will be invested in roads in Uttar Pradesh until 2024. The road network is critical to meeting Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's aim of a US$ 5 trillion GDP, according to him.

He also emphasised that, in addition to the economy, the environment must be prioritised. Green hydrogen is the necessity of the future, according to him, and if the development on this technology is done in the country's 117 aspirational districts, it will help them become financially sound and produce jobs, according to the release.
