In Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, 11 National Highway (NH) projects worth US$ 683.2 million (Rs. 5,600 crore) were inaugurated and their foundation stone was laid by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari on July 4, 2023.
In Rajasthan, four national highway projects with a combined length of 219 km and with a cost of US$ 460.6 million (Rs. 3,775 crore) were inaugurated. The National Highway 48 segment between Kishangarh and Gulbapura would be six-laned, accelerating the economic and social development of the districts of Ajmer and Bhilwara. The Gulabpura to Chittorgarh portion will be six-laned, which will improve the mutual connectivity between the Bhilwara and Chittorgarh districts' Udaipur, Jaipur, and Kota sectors. Further, the construction of a high-level bridge on the Chambal River in Mandrayal under CRIF was also inaugurated
Furthermore, the foundation stones were also laid for seven projects totalling US$ 225.7 million (Rs. 1,850 crore) and a total length of 221 kilometres. These initiatives will offer direct access to the Udaipur airport from the well-known religious site Nathdwara. There will be improved connectivity in the tribal areas of Dungarpur, Udaipur, and the Banswara region. To safeguard wildlife, 13 animal underpasses will be built in the Todgarh Wildlife Sanctuary along the Beawar-Gomti route.
