Mr. Nitin Gadkari inaugurates and lays foundation stone of six NH projects worth Rs. 2,300 crore (US$ 290.79 million) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, inaugurated and laid foundation stones of six national highway projects of 119 km worth Rs. 2,300 crore (US$ 290.79 million) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The projects being launched will facilitate progress by improving connectivity in Indore and the state. These projects are expected to solve the Rau circle traffic problem and make the area less congested. 

Local students, businessmen, and artisans will have better opportunities with the help of convenient connectivity from Indore. The villages in the Indore-Harda section will be more easily accessible from Indore. New employment possibilities will be generated through the expansion of the Dhar-Pithampur industrial corridor, said Mr. Gadkari.

The travel time between Tejaji Nagar (Indore)-Burhanpur and Indore-Harda will be shortened, saving fuel. Travellers heading to Omkareshwar and Khandwa will have easy access to the routes and it will be simpler for agricultural products to reach the major markets with improved connectivity.

During Mr. Gadkari’s visit to Indore, a MoU was signed between state government and NHAI for construction of ropeways at 14 selected places in Madhya Pradesh.
