Mr. Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stones of 21 National Highways projects worth US$ 1.14 billion (Rs 9,400 crore) in Ranchi, Jharkhand

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari launched and laid foundation stones for 21 projects covering 532 kilometres for more than US$ 1.14 billion (Rs 9,400 crore) at Dhurva, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

According to Mr. Gadkari, Ranchi and Varanasi can be accessed in 5 hours due to the 260 km (4-lane) inter-corridor that is being built at a cost of US$ 851.21 million (Rs.7,000 crores).

He also said that the 635-kilometer, 4-lane Raipur-Dhanbad Economic Corridor will enable easier transportation of resources including coal, steel, cement, and other minerals.
