Mr. Rajnath Singh, Minister of Defence, dedicated 75 infrastructure projects, including roads, helipads, and bridges, to the nation on October 28, 2022. These projects will be constructed in strategic areas of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim at a cost of Rs. 2,180 crore (US$ 264.37 million).

According to the Ministry of Defence, the inauguration of the 120-meter-long "class-70 Shyok Setu" on the DS-DBO Road at a height of 14,000 feet was the event's high point.

The bridge will be crucial from a strategic standpoint since it will make military logistics movements easier. In addition, Mr. Singh virtually launched two helipads in Eastern Ladakh, one each in Hanle and Thakung.

The 75 projects, which were divided over six states and two Union territories, included 45 bridges, 27 roads, two helipads, and one "Carbon Neutral Habitat."
