Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi remarked that the Mudra Yojana of the Centre is playing an important role in boosting employment and self-employment opportunities in the tourism sector.
While virtually addressing the Uttarakhand Rozgar Mela, the Prime Minister asserted that about 38 crores of Mudra loans have been deployed across the country so far and around 8 crores of youths have become entrepreneurs for the first time. Further, several youths were also handed over their appointment letters.
Additionally, he also informed that the share of women and youth belonging to the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and other backward classes (OBC) category is maximum under Mudra loans.
Mr. Narendra Modi highlighted the constant attempt of the central and Uttarakhand government that every youth gets new opportunities based on their interest while getting access to the right medium to move forward. The recruitment campaign in the government services is also a step taken in the same direction, he added and further highlighted the new employment and self-employment opportunities being created in the mountainous regions.
