Musical instruments' exports rise 3.5 times to Rs. 172 crore (US$ 20.9 million) in April-September

India’s exports of musical instruments surged to Rs. 172 crore (US$ 20.9 million) between April-September this fiscal year in comparison to Rs. 49 crore (US$ 5.95 million) in 2013-14.

Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, Mr. Piyush Goyal, said in a tweet that exports increased by more than 3.5 times in the first half of the current fiscal year in comparison to the same period in 2013.

The increase in exports, according to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, is positive.
