National e-Vidhan Application is a testament to the commitment of the Government to leverage latest the technological advancements for the public good: Mr. Piyush Goyal

According to Mr. Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, parliamentary democracy is the foundation of India's development and its future. The Minister, while serving as Chief Guest at the National Workshop on National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), stated that NeVA is proof of the Government's dedication to utilising the most recent technological advancements for the public good.

He further stated that NeVA is an initiative that will give the public representatives of the country more power and that institutions all around the nation need to be strengthened. According to Mr. Piyush Goyal, NeVA can provide legislators with information and knowledge about both their legislature and developments in other legislatures. He claimed that the information sharing and adoption of best practices across states will result from the cross-flow of information through NeVA.

As per the Minister, NeVA is an integrated and interconnected national portal showcasing ‘One Nation, One Application.’ NeVA, according to the Minister, would genuinely revolutionise Indian democracy as well as how legislatures and the Indian Parliament operate. The Minister added that NeVA will effectively reduce the carbon footprint and inefficiency due to the use of paper for legislative work.

Further, Mr. Piyush Goyal urged everyone to work together to make NeVA a huge success. He claimed that NeVA offers the chance to provide better service and that excellent Information Technology (IT) operation results in effective service delivery to the public.
