Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced several projects in Jharkhand on July, 12, 2022, including an airport in Deoghar, and claimed the new efforts will help accelerate development in eastern India. He also stated that during the past eight years, efforts have been made to enhance the region's railway, roads, and aeronautical infrastructure. According to him, the new airport would boost tourism in the state.
During the day, He laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth Rs. 16,800 crores (US$ 2.11 billion). He added that the development projects will considerably improve connection and make people's lives easier. The Prime Minister went on to say that the Bokaro-Angul gas pipeline, which was also inaugurated today, will serve 11 districts in Jharkhand and Odisha.
