New step towards Atmanirbhar Bharat

AVGAS 100 LL, a unique aviation fuel designed for piston engine aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, was introduced by Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Housing and Urban Affairs. Currently, this product is imported into India from European nations. Senior officials from the Indian Airforce, MoPNG and MoCA, as well as representatives from flying training organisations attended the inaugural ceremony held by Indian Oil at Hindan Airforce Station.

He emphasised the significance of the launch of indigenous AV GAS 100 LL, noting that it is crucial to meet the needs of a thriving aviation industry with an increase in airport traffic, an increase in the number of aircraft, and Flying Training Organizations (FTOs) in trainee aircrafts for pilot training in the future. There will be a great demand for qualified pilots as well because India's need for air travel is predicted to grow significantly in the future. And because of this, he continued, it is also anticipated that the number of FTOs will rise dramatically.
