NHA aims to promote the adoption of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) by offering incentives of up to US$ 0.48 million (Rs. 4 crores) to hospitals, labs, and digital health solution providers

The National Health Authority (NHA) launched Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS) that aims to boost digital health transactions under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The beneficiaries shall reap benefits up to US$ 0.48 million (Rs 4 crores) based on the number of digital health records created or linked to the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA).

Dr. R.S. Sharma, CEO, NHA said that this scheme would encourage digital healthcare facilities and digital software companies to join ABDM. Moreover, Digital Solutions Companies (DSC) would be given 25% of the incentive amount, of the incentive amount received by the eligible health facilities using their digital solutions.

The Rogi Kalyan Samiti funding for public sector facilities must be included in the incentives. The incentive program's expected first cash outlay is US$ 6 million (Rs. 50 crores) for a period of six months beginning on January 1, 2023.
