The National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) to develop a sustainable model for promoting entrepreneurship at the grassroots level by launching the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP). The cooperation will benefit the rural community by assisting them in establishing their trades and providing full assistance till they are stable.
According to Mr Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has stated that Indians should aspire to be job creators rather than job seekers, and SVEP will aid in the creation of an innovative ecosystem, accelerating economic and social gains at the community level. He further stated that the initiative strives to create an inclusive society by providing equal opportunity to all while also providing the necessary financial assistance.
