The Government of Odisha has signed 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading institutions to strengthen trauma care, medical education, laboratory services and healthcare infrastructure across the state, marking a major step towards enhancing public healthcare delivery. The agreements span key focus areas including trauma care, promotion of traditional systems of medicine, healthcare infrastructure, diagnostic services and capacity building. Under the initiative, Odisha will collaborate with the All India Institute of Ayurveda to strengthen trauma care while promoting the Indian Knowledge System and AYUSH through high-quality education and clinical practice. The state has also partnered with the Adani Group to construct rest houses at healthcare facilities, improving convenience and support services for patients and their attendants. Additionally, laboratories at district and sub-divisional headquarters will be upgraded to strengthen diagnostic capabilities and improve access to quality healthcare services across Odisha.
The initiative reflects the state's continued focus on expanding healthcare infrastructure, improving medical education and enhancing patient care through strategic partnerships. According to Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, the agreements are aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi by improving trauma care, expanding medical training opportunities and modernising diagnostic facilities. The collaborations are expected to support the establishment of a more robust healthcare ecosystem by integrating advanced medical education, traditional medicine and upgraded laboratory infrastructure. Through these partnerships, Odisha seeks to improve healthcare accessibility, build institutional capacity and reinforce public health services, contributing to better patient outcomes while supporting the state's long-term vision of developing a modern, efficient and inclusive healthcare system.
