Oman's commerce minister to visit India from 10-14 May to discuss economic ties

Minister of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Mr. Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, will lead a 48-member team of senior officials and business representatives to India from May 10-14 to discuss commercial ties. The visit coincides with the signing of an India-UAE trade agreement as well as trade talks with members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes Oman. The Omani delegation's visit comes at a time when bilateral trade between the two nations has increased by 82% to US$ 9.94 billion in FY22.

Senior officials from both countries will attend the 10th Session of the India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) on May 11, 2022, in New Delhi. FICCI and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will jointly host a meeting of the India-Oman Joint Business Council (JBC) on May 12, 2022. The visiting Omani group will also participate in a number of other activities in New Delhi and Mumbai, including B2B events, industry dialogues, investor meetings, and so on.
