On National Unity Day, the Prime Minister will participate in the programme marking the end of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign’s Amrit Kalash Yatra

On October 31, 2023, at approximately 5:00 PM, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will take part in the event commemorating the end of the Amrit Kalash Yatra, which is part of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign, at Kartavya Path. The programme will also mark the closing ceremony of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial during the programme. He will address thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris joining the programme from across the country. During the programme, the Prime Minister will also launch the 'Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform for the youth of the country.

The Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign honours the Veers and Veeranganas who have made their supreme sacrifice for the country. The campaign includes numerous events and rituals held at the Panchayat/Village, Block, Urban Local Body, State, and National levels around the nation in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari. The establishment of Shilaphalakam (Memorial) as a way to honour all the courageous individuals who have given their all, the taking of the "Panch Pran" pledge by the people there, the planting of indigenous species seedlings and the creation of "Amrit Vatika" (Vasudha Vandhan), and felicitation ceremonies honouring the freedom fighters and the families of those who have died (Veeron ka Vandan), among other things, were among the activities.

With over 2.3 lakh Shilaphalakams constructed in 36 States and Union Territories, nearly 4 crore Panch Pran pledge selfies uploaded, 2 lakh+ "Veeron ka Vandan" programmes conducted countrywide, over 2.36 crore native saplings planted, and 2.63 lakh Amrit Vatikas made with the Vasudha Vandan theme, the campaign proved to be a huge success.

The Amrit Kalash Yatra, which is part of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign, involves the collection of rice grains and mitti from more than 6 lakh rural and urban wards. The mitti from each village is combined and sent to the block level, where it is then sent to the state capital.

"Mera Yuva Bharat, or MY Bharat, is being established as an independent organisation to function as a one-stop shop for the entire government for the youth of the country." In keeping with the Prime Minister's goal of giving all young people in the nation fair opportunities, MY Bharat will use technology to give an enabling mechanism for every branch of the government, allowing them to realise their dreams and help construct "Viksit Bharat." The mission of MY Bharat is to empower young people to become agents of national and communal transformation and to serve as the "Yuva Setu" between the people and the government. In this way, "MY Bharat" will provide the nation's "Youth Led Development" a significant boost.
