On its last day, November 26, the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at the Pragati Maidan complex in New Delhi recorded its highest-ever single-day footfall of 150,000 people.

A record business was done over the 14-day fair, totalling Rs. 1,500 crore (US$ 179.9 million), which is 579.9% more than the Rs. 950 crore (US$ 113.9 million) done the previous year. The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) reported that over 100,000 people visited the exhibition each of the last three days.

"Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-United by Trade" was the theme of this edition of IITF when it started on November 14. Following the renovation of the Pragati Maidan complex, it was the first fair to be organised. More than 3,500 exhibitors participated in the exhibition, which occupied an area of over 115,000 square metres.

Additionally, ITPO utilised a navigation app to lead guests around the complex for the first time. It introduced free-of-charge speciality areas for guests, such as a children's area and a virtual reality (VR) zone.

Participating in the event were representatives from 13 different countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman, Egypt, Nepal, Thailand, Turkiye, Vietnam, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Iran, and the UAE. Turkey received the bronze award, Thailand won the silver, and the UAE was praised with a gold medal for its pavilion.

The Odisha pavilion, the centre of attraction of the IITF-2023 in New Delhi, reclaimed the Award of Excellence in Display, with Rajasthan taking home the bronze and Assam the silver. A medal for special recognition was given to Uttarakhand.

Madhya Pradesh took home the gold in the states' category for thematic presentations.
