The Uttar Pradesh government is all set to drape the tricolour over 50 lakh government and non-government offices as well as 4.26 crore houses as a part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the country's Independence.
As part of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Yogi Adityanath’s government "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign to mark the Amrit Mahotsav, the state government has already produced 3.86 crore tricolours so far.
Of the total target, the state government's micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department has procured 2 crore flags through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal while over 20,000 NGOs and private sewing units are working around the clock to produce around 1.15 crore flags.
This door-to-door tricolour programme is a message to the world that every citizen of India, in accordance with the vision of the constitution's writers and in accordance with the expectations of the constitution, is united to carry forward India's journey of development, prosperity, security, and culture.
