The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is evident, with over 60% of educators using AI tools, according to a study by TeamLease EdTech. The report titled "Revolutionizing Classrooms: The Impact of Generative AI on the Future of Education" highlights that 63.61% of educators find AI crucial for preparing students for an AI-dominated future, while 9.49% express concerns about reduced human interactions and data privacy issues. AI tools are seen as valuable for upskilling by 66.77% of educators, and 70.85% believe AI has a more profound impact than the smartphone revolution. TeamLease Edtech's CEO, Mr. Shantanu Rooj, emphasizes AI's transformative role in classrooms, noting that the technology is already reshaping education in India based on responses from over 6000 educators.

Despite the positive reception, over 80% of respondents express caution, advocating for government monitoring and regulation of AI. The report underscores a need for a balanced approach to AI use in classrooms, with 62.88% of educators favouring such an approach. Only 17.05% advocate for unrestricted AI use. These findings reflect a nuanced perspective within the education community, acknowledging the potential benefits of AI while emphasizing the importance of careful implementation and ethical considerations.
